Jeff started his career with a division of the Delta Group where he worked as Buyer, Estimator, Project Manager and Customer Support Supervisor over a 5 year period. He also worked in a business development capacity within the company’s marketing function and in New Product Development where he was instrumental in the launch of an important new offering which swiftly achieved seven-figure sales.
A shorter period with Rawlplug followed where Jeff was the manager of support services for the field sales operation which included procurement of materials & services and project management of supplies to large construction companies. During this time he was the brains behind the re-engineering of sales office and project management processes.
For 7 years Jeff worked for Hilti UK, initially as a salesman in the South East, where he developed new business from a standing start up to £0.5m via a combination of ‘cold-calling’ and targeted seminars.
He was promoted to Regional Sales Manager where he recruited and led a team selling to commercial property owners, managing agents, construction players and a wide range of specifiers.
He later moved into general management with P&L, marketing, sales and operations responsibilities.
After his fruitful period at Hilti Jeff had a very successful 4 years with a leading international people development consultancy. He pioneered the company’s ‘Service Strategy’ offering and over-achieved selling sales, sales management and customer service development programmes. In doing this he was responsible for ground-breaking success in the London banking market.
Before jointly establishing Quantum Jeff was a divisional director of an IT services group where he re-focused the business, giving more emphasis to key client development, and personally contributed to the conversion of several high profile new business wins.
Since Quantum’s formation Jeff has been instrumental in winning new business in markets as diverse as banking, petrochemicals, advertising, travel and technology. Very much Quantum’s ‘innovator’, Jeff has a well deserved reputation as a high quality consultant in all matters of planning for and managing sales success in the business-to-business arena. He is also a top class front line sales and sales management coach who can lead by example.
