Annemieke's Q&As

Annemieke has spent most of her career in senior client-facing positions initially with the Holiday Inn group where she consistently increased annual departmental revenues by a weighty double-digit %. She was the instigator of a highly acclaimed company training initiative, and one of the founding players in the prestigious 'Holiday Inn Networking' programme.

She became a departmental head at Martinair bv in the early 90's, re-designing the core 'Ground Employee Engagement' programme and reducing costs by more than 10% via enhanced process management.

Later in the 90's Annemieke joined Dorlas Koffie bv and took responsibility as Shadow MD (UK) for introducing their business into the UK. Pursuing retail, wholesale and b2b channels, she was responsible for introducing one of the UK's first 'concept' coffee bars, and took sales from scratch to £250,000.

Between 1998 and 2001 she was UK Sales & Marketing Director for Pitney Bowes Services Ltd. In this time she personally generated sales of £7m whilst assuming responsibility for major accounts such as Linklaters, American Express and Merrill Lynch. The organisation's overall annual sales increased by a double-digit % each year, and the salesteam she recruited and trained was awarded 'best salesteam' globally in 2000. This led to Annemieke being invited to join PB's innovative 'Remote Services Project Team' at the turn of the Millenium.

In 2001 she joined the board of Echo Managed Services as Business Development Director, working as part of a joint venture for the first 12 months when she achieved £8m in new business. She was instrumental in developing both the company's brand and its service offerings before her departure.

Annemieke has a personal financial interest in two successful (b2c and b2b) businesses where she has been jointly responsible for concept, design and implementation. Since 2002 she has worked as a consultant in the UK and internationally in sectors such as: property, healthcare, consumer products, public utilities, the media and I.T.

Annemieke has worked for Quantum's clients in French, German, English and Dutch in subject areas as diverse as sales support tool construction, proposition development, management coaching and new business strategy.

Well respected for her thorough, incisive, 'no-nonsense' style and commercial appreciation, Annemieke is especially adept at fusing business objectives with front-end sales practice.
